Photography has play a part in conservating lands for public use including forest land, grasslands, National Parks and waterways through out the United State. 

Those photography have help people in congress learn about not only the land but about animals and the ecosystems around a given area. I have read stories about an Oregon state congress person that have no idea what the Hells Canyon along the Snake River between Idaho and Oregon. The congress person was son impressed by the photos, he said that “he had now idea that his state have that beautiful land. 

Photographys also help people who are not able to visit National Parks or any of the many public lands in the United State learn about those places and help them understand why it is important to protect public lands for the future. 

We can all use public lands, however we need understand that if use the  public areas we need to know how to take care of those area for ourselves and for our future generations.
